I need adventurous women who will say, "I'm going for it!" as they picture themselves pinning their opponent to the ground! lol The two of you will be cast based on how equal you are in size, age, height and weight. The most important thing to remember is this will be directed and filmed with frequent cuts, creative angels and combat action moves practiced before the filming.
Though in nature the competitive part will be similar to stage combat, and you'll be following a choregraphed script, it will convey to the audience an organic and natural flow of realism. There is no, I repeat, NO experience needed in wrestling. As long as you’re willing to roll around a little…you’ll be great!
The first step while considering the idea will involve an initial meeting/interview to discuss details, questions and specifics related to the project. This isn't a timeshare, so you'll have plenty of time to chew everything over. (so long as you don't CHEW on your opponent!) If you feel the thrill of fate moving you to green light the project, the process of drawing up a contract and consent forms will begin.
You will only be hired for one episode. If in the future you gain a fan base or are maybe requested more from fans, we can discuss your courageous return to the cinema!
I highly encourage you to reach out to friends who could be your foe and opponent. Think of the fun you would have engaging in a playful, themed battle?! It will make the chemistry between the two of you even more genuine and allow you to check off a spicy bucket list item you never thought you'd achieve.

Casting

WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN FOR YOU?

Allow me to present my vision of how you will play the main role following the Wine & Talk portion of the episode:

  1. You will engage in a challenge with your opponent, similar to STAGE COMBAT, where the action is choregraphed but filmed with a technique that is realistic, suspenseful, stylish, intimate and ESPECIALLY chic!

  2. Filming will involve multiple cuts, angels and shots. The audience will be brought in close for tight shots conveying intensity and playfullness, or pulled back in wide pans to take the viewers for a ride as the action moves across a location's landscape. The footage will be spliced together in post-production to create a feeling of authentic, unrehearsed drama and realism. This makes for incredible action where safety is also a key priority.

  3. The story you’ll follow will be original and the action exciting, so embracing your role will be fun!

  4. Conveying excitement, energy and animation will be a must. I'm not looking particularly for extroverts, but you can understand that believability is a large part of playing the part. It doesn't mean you need to be "Disney" parade ready, but if you are more of a mellow "Rainy Days & Mondays" person, sorry... this is not for you.

Pre-production starts with the script read through describing a scenario, era, location and backstory. My job as the producer will be handling all the details for each episode including the directing, filming and editing. It also will include the securing of sets and studio space, location sites, and finally wardrobe. Let me stress so YOU don’t stress - no prior acting, wrestling or stage combat experience is needed!

THE CLASSY ACTION

In tests of strength, skill and feminine power, the two of you will wrestle/battle for 10 - 15 minutes in an action scene that has been folded into a story. Not only will this create excitement for the viewer but will be invigorating for the two of you! It is truly a new take on female energy and competitive action. I will stress though and state for the record that there will be none of the following:

Catfighting - Nudity - Vulgar language - Sexual acts like tribbing, grinding or lesbian activity - Hair pulling - Biting - Clothes ripping - Throwing objects at one another - Choking - Domination - Sadomasochism - Pornographic insinuations

COMBAT ATTIRE

Your clothing will be reminiscent to the story’s specific era and styles. Depending on the script, the time periods can span anywhere from the roaring twenties to the present. The option will be presented in certain circumstances, like a beach battle, to be in riskier, more revealing outfits.

Wardrobe will be discussed and approved prior to any filming. This is about celebrating your physique, shape, weight, height and size. Feeling comfortable in your own skin is a must and that includes, in essence, your costume.
